Ripple Effect East / West is a program for children 9 to 12 who are either orphaned or separated from their parents for a long duration of time. These children are sent on the vacation experience of a lifetime! But it's not a theme park or big city show schedule. It's the Grand Canyon for those from the East, and the Great Mount Katahdin on the rocky shores of Atlantic coastal Maine for those from the West. These children will learn local culture and care of the great outdoors.
We seek to empower these children through the awe and beauty of nature, the likes of which they may never experience otherwise or again in their lifetime!
It costs about $3,000 for each child to attend, our goal is a Western trip this fall for 10 children from Maine.
Robins Nest needs to install about 50 water gardens to pay for this program. Even if you don't buy a Ripple Effect Garden, maybe you know someone who would like one! Pass it on!!
